研究方向
 
工業用特殊酵素基因的選殖、大量表現及人工演化是研發工作之主軸, 目的在於降低代謝產物、機能性胜?及原料藥之生產成本,終極目標是將衍生的技術轉移到產業界。現階段的研發方向是:
  1. 建立微生物基因表現平台,特別是針對 Aspergillus oryzae、Rhizopus oryzae 及Corynebacterium glutamicum。

  2. 開發機能性及營養性胜?所需的特殊酵素,例如 leucine aminopeptidase, carboxypeptidase 及 aspartate protease。

  3. 利用生物轉換法生產降血壓藥物之前驅物 homophenylalanine,特別是針 對 racemase、L-hydantoinase…等酵素之人工演化。

  4. 探索鬆弛支氣管及消除鼻黏膜腫脹藥物[(+)-pseudoephedrine及L- phenylephrine]生合成之相關酵素,包括各種ketone reductases。

  5. 建構土壤微生物多元性基因庫(metagenomic library),選殖能分解 paclobutrazol之基因,經系列組合後,進行蓮霧園之復育。
