The study of molecular biology requires
precision instruments and an extensive literature collection. In
addition to elementary apparatus and equipment, the Institute has
precision instruments such as ELISA reader, phosphoimager,
ultracentrifuges, HPLC, computerized fermenter, gene gun, gel
documentation system, electroporator, pulse-field electrophoresis
apparatus, PCR thermal cyclers, freeze-dryer, French press, micryarrayer,
and LC mass spectrometer. Through highly efficient management, all the
instruments and equipment are maintained in proper working order and are
able to efficiently accommodate teaching schedules as well as research
work. The library at the Institute houses twenty-one major life sciences
journals and hundreds of books that can satisfy most demand from our
Institute. The Institute is located on the ninth, the tenth, and the
twelfths floors of the Life Sciences Building, with a floor plan of over
3400 square meters.
