Research Interests
Our research interests focus on all aspects of the porphyrin chemistry, and especially on the design and study of the systems that can be used as catalysts, sensors, and drugs.
The following topics are currently under investigation in our laboratory:
(1) The synthesis of porphyrin catalysts for the use of shape-selective and asymmetrical oxidation catalysis.
(2) The synthesis of functionalized porphyrins for molecular recognition.
(3) The synthesis of porphyrins functionalized with hydrogen-bond synthons for the construction of supramolecules.
(4) The synthesis of porphyrin-based photosensitizers as photodynamic drugs.
