- Conference Date : 5-7 July 2006

- Conference Venue : The conference will be held in Taichung at the National Chung Hsing University. The address of National Chung Hsing University is: National Chung Hsing University, Institute of E-Commerce,250, Kuo Kuang Road , Taichung 402, Tel : 886-4-2284-0515. - Currency : The New Taiwan dollar (NT$) is the official currency of Taiwan (ROC). It is circulated in one-, five-, ten-, and fifty-dollar coins, and one hundred, two-hundred, five-hundred, one thousand and two-thousand dollar notes. Since the relaxation of foreign currency controls in 1987, exchange between foreign currency and the NT$ has become relatively free although exchange is still limited to authorized banks and dealers.

- Language : The official language of the conference will be ENGLISH. No simultaneous translation will be provided during the programme.

- Taxi : Taxis are available at the Taichung railway station. It takes 10 minutes to get to the National Chung Hsing University , the cost is approximately NT$110 per way

- Electric Power : Electric current in Taiwan is 110V AC .60Hz, the plug has two or three round pins.

- Weather : In July, the average temperature range from 31-35 degrees Celsius. You should prepare the sun glasses, sun block .etc

- Entertainment : The department stores will not close until 10:00 PM , and one characteristic of Taiwan is the night market, there you can feel how flouring Taiwan is.

- Getting Around : Taiwan has two international airports, Chiang Kai-Shek (CKS) international and Kaohsiung International. Both offer regular flights to major destinations around the world. There are also several domestic airports and domestic airlines that provide fast and convenient connecting flights between Taiwan 's larger cities, as well as outlying islands.

The CKS International Airport is 145km from Taichung . Under normal conditions, it takes around two hour and thirty minutes to reach the city center. Buses from the CKS airport to Taichung are also available. Further information about this airport bus service can be obtained by dialing +886-3-383-4004.

Taxies are readily available at the CKS airport. A 50 percent surcharge is added to the meter fare. Any problems with airport taxi drivers should be reported to the airport police at +886-3-398-2167.
